Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has offered striker Ross McCormack a future at Villa Park, provided he follows orders.
McCormack had a public feud with Bruce in January, which led to the 30 year old being sent to Nottingham Forest on loan. The move has not managed to reignite good form in the Scottish international and he has been out of action since March due to an Achilles injury.
Bruce said of McCormack, “It’s been an awful 12 months for him which should have been the best 12 months of his career. He got a big move here and the rest is up to Ross to really, really grasp the situation he’s been given here.”
After arriving at Villa Park for £12 million last summer, many would have expected that McCormack would have been the man to spearhead Aston Villa’s season. However, he failed to live up to expectations which led to the feud between himself and Bruce.
