Sunderland midfielder Seb Larsson is happy that talks about his future at the club have been put on hold until the summer. The current deal of the 31 year old is set to expire during the summer.
Larsson said as reported by Chester Le Street Advertiser, “My situation is very relaxed. My contract expires in the summer. That’s about where we are.
“What happens in the summer, we get to later. This is not a new situation for us. All the focus is on Sunderland and help the club.”
This is not an unfamiliar position for the Swedish international who has allowed his contract to finish during previous years and an uncertainty over which division his side will be playing in next season also will make it difficult for him to commit to the club.
Black Cats boss David Moyes has also admitted that he will only be focusing on contracts once the season is over.
