According to the Stoke Sentinel, Stoke City Football Club have been so impressed by the displays of Bruno Martins Indi this season that they want to go ahead and make his move permanent before the summer. Martins Indi, a Dutch international, is on loan from FC Porto for the season.
He has done very well in the Premier League, probably to the surprise of a few that didn’t think he’d have what it took in the rough and tough league. According to the report, he can be signed for £8.5m in the summer, but Stoke City want to go ahead and get it done now.
It appears that they are concerned with potentially having to compete with other suitors when they time comes. However, Martins Indi sounds like he is happy at Stoke and the challenge it represents.
No matter what happens for the rest of January, expect to see Martins Indi back with Stoke next season playing a key role in Mark Hughes’ side yet again.
