Chelsea captain John Terry has said he’s hoping to return to action soon as he’s almost recovered from his ankle injury, sustained in the 2-2 draw at Swansea City on September 11th.

His presence in the Chelsea defense was sorely missed in the Blues’ 1-2 home defeat to Liverpool last Friday, but he’s reassured the fans he’ll be “back soon”.

“Late night session in the pool,” Terry wrote on his official Instagram account. “My ankle is feeling much better, hopefully I will be back soon.”

Chelsea missed Terry’s leadership against Liverpool and Conte will be hoping to see him back in action against Arsenal next Saturday.

The 35-year-old was on the verge of leaving Chelsea last summer, but ended up signing a new one-year contract extension to stay at Stamford Bridge until the end of the current season.

Terry has done very well since the start of the season and Conte could decide to keep him for another season if the veteran defender keeps his form up for the remainder of the campaign.

The former England international has been at Chelsea since 1995 and has been one of the club’s most reliable players over the past two decades.
