Manchester United defender reportedly told to find himself another club

Rojo

Manchester United have told Marcos Rojo that he’s surplus to Jose Mourinho’s requirements at Old Trafford, according to Duncan Castles.

Castles, who’s believed to have close ties with Mourinho, claims Rojo is unwanted at United and is already mulling over approaches from Italy, Spain and China.

United are thought to be looking for a fee of €12m for the Argentine international, who’s currently representing his country at the Copa America Centenario.

The 26-year-old versatile defender provided 2 assists in 28 appearances for Manchester United last season.

Even though Rojo’s primary position is at centre-back, he was mostly used at left-back last season in order to cover for Shaw’s absence after the England international’s horrendous injury last September.

Rojo had a very disappointing season, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him leave this summer.

His defensive positioning is questionable at best and he’s way too static at left-back.

Rojo is rightfully regarded as a poor signing and it appears as though Jose Mourinho is keen to offload him this summer. His departure would be beneficial for both him and the club.
