Atletico Madrid‘s fans, players, and coach lived minutes of great restlessness in the final minutes during the second-leg match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semifinal. With the aggregate score 2-2, Atletico Madrid was obligated to defend with all eleven players as Bayern Munich attacked with everything in their power to convert their third goal. Fortunately for the La Liga side, the Germans were unable to score that goal, and the ‘colchoneros’ qualified to the final in dramatic fashion.

Yet, not all was good news for Atletico Madrid, as their coach Diego ‘Cholo’ Simeone became irate with his own team’s official prior to a substitution in the 91th minute. In an unpleasant reaction, Simeone gets near the individual in a moment of anger and smacks his arm to the man’s confusion.
This was unnoticed by the field official, and Simeone remained on the bench for the rest of the match. However, the coach’s moment of fury may very well cost him greatly as it could be a reason to suspend him from participating in the Champions League final next May 28.
