John Terry names 18-year old as his successor at Chelsea

John Terry wants 18-year old youngster Jake Clarke-Salter to take his place when he leaves the club. Terry has rated the youngster highly and is quite impressed with his performances. The Blues’ captain is a big supporter of this young talent and finds it delighting to watch him play.

Terry is an avid admirer of Jake and has shown trust in his abilities. “Jake has a great attitude. I remember watching him a couple of years ago being in control of the game and a really vocal player,” Terry told the Evening Standard. Terry states that the U19 England International reminds him of himself and hopes for the youngster to take his place in The Blues’ first team.

Jake Clarke-Salter has signed a new 4-year deal with Chelsea in November, indicating Club’s high hopes from him. Terry is expected to hang his boots at Stamford Bridge at the end of this season giving the youngster an opportunity to impress the new boss Antonio Conte.
