Catalan club linked with Manchester United outcast

Current Manchester United outcast Victor Valdes has been linked with a move back to Spain on the January transfer window, with the possible suitors being Espanyol.

Although, current Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez has dismissed the rumors of a possible move being made.

This is just media talk,” Pau said. “In the goals, we have Bardi and myself. We know the club trusts in us. I have nothing else to say.”

Valdes is sure to leave United this coming transfer window, with his relationship with Louis Van Gaal having deteriorated completely.

The 33-year-old has been linked with different clubs through recent months including Besiktas, Sevilla and Newcastle.

Valdes won the La Liga title six times with Barcelona, two Copa del Rey, three Champions leagues and a variety of other trophies including the 2010 World Cup with Spain.
