Kelechi Nwakali is a promising young midfielder who was the captain of the U-17 Nigerian national team that won the 2015 U-17 World Cup title in early November.

Nwalkali was named the most valuable player of this tournament, and he has drawn interest from many English clubs including Arsenal, Manchester City, and Chelsea.

There is expected to be a bidding war between these top English clubs, and while Chelsea is currently considered the favorite to sign Nwakali, he has openly stated that he would love an opportunity to play for the Gunners because of their beautiful passing ability.

Nwakali told mtnsoccer.com that, “I will love to play for Arsenal. They are their Premier League club I will like to play for them because they play the best football in the world”.  Of course this does not mean that Nwakali will sign with Arsenal, but it is an encouraging sign.

We will likely see where Nwakali is going to end up in the January transfer window, but if Arsenal can sign him, he would be another good young player to add for the future.
