Strongest Possible Chelsea Lineup vs Crystal Palace – Attacking trio to wreak havoc?

Chelsea managed to get their season back on track by claiming their first victory of the season with a 3-2 triumph over West Bromwich Albion last week and the Blues will now be hopeful of building on the performance at Stamford Bridge this Saturday against Crystal Palace.

Palace have proven themselves to be a tough side though and with the Chelsea defence looking anything but solid at the moment, the clash should be an entertaining affair.

Here is the Strongest Possible Lineup for Chelsea against Crystal Palace –

Goalkeeper

Thibaut Courtois had an important role to play in Chelsea’s victory over West Bromwich Albion after making a crucial block from the penalty spot from James Morrison.

However, Courtois has not yet managed to keep a clean sheet as of yet and he will surely be desperate to do so against Crystal Palace this weekend.

Defence

The Chelsea backline has looked uncharacteristically porous this season and have already conceded 7 goals in three matches.

Now with John Terry missing due to suspension, it will be interesting to see whether the Blues will be able to keep out the dangerous Crystal Palace attack.

Kurt Zouma is expected to replace John Terry in the starting lineup and Gary Cahill should partner the young Frenchman at the heart of the backline.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Branislav Ivanovic are expected to continue in the full back position but Baba Rahman is a doubt for the clash due to injury.

Midfield

Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas have clearly not been at their best so far this season and they will surely need to raise their game this weekend in order to sufficiently deal with the Crystal Palace midfield.

In the attacking positions though, Chelsea looked wonderfully fluid following the arrival of new signing Pedro and the Spaniard star alongside Willian and Eden Hazard, will surely give problems to the Palace backline.

Attack

Diego Costa opened up his account for the season with a well taken goal against West Bromwich Albion last week and the Spanish international will now look to continue his form in form of goal this weekend as well.
