After signing Paulista and Bielik, Arsenal make a bid for World Cup winner – reports

Arsene Wenger has silenced the critics so far this transfer window, already bringing the likes of Gabriel Paulista and Krystian Bielik to North London.

Now to further add to his ranks, The metro is reporting that Wenger has made a bid for German International Kevin Grosskreutz, which would certainly cap off a promising January.

Grosskreutz, who is only 26, is a versatile player with a wealth of international experience. He is known as being able to play on either wing, in central midfield, or even as a full back. A player of that quality who could provide such great depth and multiple positions would be a great addition.

Arsenal are rumored to have made a very modest £3.7 million bid on the German. If his current club Borussia Dortmund would accept the bid, Grosskrutz would join the contingency of Germany World Cup winners already on the team.

Compatriot Mesut Oezil has recently returned from injury and already seemed to find his form. Surely he would enjoy playing with another familiar teammate in midfield.

Grosskreutz is playing for his hometown team in Dortmund, but has publicly stated that he has been a life long fan of Arsenal. He, along with many other Dortmund teammates, has an uncertain future in Germany. He says that he would enjoy a move to the Premier League and would prefer to be to a Gunner.
