Young Striker admits he is KEEN on Manchester United move

With Manchester United going through bit of a crisis during the last one and a half years or so, it has been no surprise to see incessant number of players being linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent times.

Many are eagerly waiting in anticipation to see which player Louis van Gaal will recruit during the January transfer window, with a central defender and a midfielder set to be on the agenda.

United had been linked with a move for Waris

However, it had recently been reported that the Red Devils were also interested in signing a new front man in the form of Ghanaian star Abdul Majeed Waris.

Reports emerging out of Turkey had claimed that United have been monitoring Waris in recent times, with manager Louis van Gaal reportedly having sent his assistant Ryan Giggs to scout the striker during the Europa league clash between Trabzonspor and Lokeren last month.

To confirm the rumor, Trabzonspor chief executive Burak Gurdal had revealed that Manchester United scouts have been in attendance during the Turkish sides’ matches over the last few weeks.

Waris open to Manchester United move

Now, to further fuel speculation that Waris could be on his way to Manchester United – the striker himself has gone on to invite the Red Devils to pursue him by saying that he is keen on a move to Old Trafford.

Waris said, “Manchester United is a big club and to be linked to them gives goose bumps. I heard it and I read it in the newspapers so it really was a good feeling I must admit.”

Although Waris is certainly a very good striker, it will be strange if Manchester United pursue the 23-year old as they already possess a plethora of top class front men in their squad at the moment.

What do you think? Should United sign Waris or is he not good enough for the Red Devils?
