After 24 years of hurt, Brendan Rodgers’ fearless Liverpool side are certainly making the fans dream. Against all odds, the Reds now find themselves in pole position to claim their first ever Premier League title and as Steven Gerrard had said to his players in a huddle following his side’s marvelous victory over Manchester City – Liverpool simply cannot allow the title to slip now.

The Reds travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich City on Sunday and although there seems to be only one winner heading into the game, it is fair to say that the match will be anything but a cakewalk for Rodgers’ side as even the Canaries require the three points as much as Liverpool do in order to extend their stay in the Premier League.

Goalkeeper

Despite letting in two goals against Manchester City last week, Simon Mignolet was once again solid for Liverpool and the Belgian international will certainly be looking to get his great run of form going against Norwich on Sunday as well.

Defence

Except for Jose Enrique, Rodgers will have his full quota of defenders available against Norwich City. Barring a 20 minute spell, the Liverpool defence consisting of Jon Flanagan, Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtel and Glen Johnson were very good against City and it would not be a surprise to see the same back four starting against the Canaries as well.

However, the likes of Daniel Agger, Kolo Toure and Aly Cissokho are all in contention and stand every chance of making into the starting lineup.

Midfield

Rodgers will be without the services of influential midfielder Jordan Henderson after the England international picked up a direct red against City. While the loss of Henderson is certainly a big blow, either Joe Allen or Lucas can fill in capably.

With Daniel Sturridge also looking set to miss the clash through injury though, there is a possibility that both Allen and Lucas could start. Victor Moses has a good shout to start as well.

Inspirational captain Steven Gerrard will undoubtedly be marshalling the midfield, while the exciting and tremendously talented duo of Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling will once again be providing the creative spark for the Reds.

Attack

Daniel Sturridge is a big doubt for the clash but Luis Suarez will be looking to continue his great run of form against Norwich, having scored a whopping 11 goals in his last 4 appearances against the Canaries. While the absence of Sturridge is a concern, Suarez should get good support from Coutinho and Sterling.
