Manchester City Star To Make Way For Barcelona Starter?

According to TalkSport and French newspaper L’Equipe, it is being reported that Manchester City are willing to let goalkeeper Joe Hart leave the club, if they are able to secure Victor Valdes. Valdes, whose contract runs out in the summer, has made it clear he is leaving Barcelona at season’s end.

It was reported earlier in the season that Valdes had agreed to a deal with Monaco. The deal says he can break the agreement if another club pays a compensation fee to the big spending French club.

Valdes has done it all at Barcelona and is now ready to move on to another club, and Manchester City may be that team. Hart, who was benched earlier in the season for his performances, has regained his place in the side and has become an automatic selection once again.

The rumor is coming from TalkSport and a French newspaper, so I give a ‘3’ in strength. Manchester City are a big club, and looking for a goalkeeper, Valdes may be the one they need.

Valdes can definitely help Manchester City if he does join. The Spanish keeper has experience winning Champions League trophies, something that Manchester City are striving for in years to come.

Valdes brings quality on the pitch with his ability to make saves but I think it’s his leadership and experience in the Champions League that can help this club take that next step. City reached the knockout stages for the first time in its history and Valdes may be the goalie that can help them go further.

I have been a huge critic of Joe Hart this season and in seasons past so I believe this would be a good move for City. Valdes has looked suspect at times for Barcelona but he is a better shot stopper than Hart. Valdes can help City in various ways, thus I give it a 9 in that regard.

This rumor is not from the best source but there has been talks about Valdes going to the EPL. Manchester City is styling themselves after Barcelona and Valdes could help them. I either see Valdes going to Monaco or Manchester City come this summer. The fact that City has other Spanish internationals and City’s director was at Barcelona and City is mirroring their style of play to some degree like Barcelona, I see this move very likely to happen, thus a 75 percent chance.
