Correcaminos missed their 4th penalty kick, but scored its fifth. Dorados scored its first four penalty kicks, including a perfect shot by Cuauhtemoc Blanco. Dorados’ fifth penalty kick would be taken by none other than Frausto, the goalie that had scored the last-minute equalizing goal for Dorados. Frausto readied himself and blasted the ball into the back of the net. Dorados are the first champion of the new version of the Copa MX.
