Mario Carrillo gets his first win as the Pumas head coach. Pumas defeated a Puebla team that appeared dull for most of the match, and didn’t start generating opportunities until they were already down 2-0. Pikolin’s mistake led to the Puebla goal, but Pumas never really looked in danger of getting a draw.
Pumas now has 14 points and is in 8th place of the Liga MX, with a real chance of making the playoffs. Puebla sinks deeper down the standings.
