Roma Sporting director Monchi has denied reports suggesting that Liverpool made an offer for goalkeeper Alisson during the January transfer window.
Liverpool are reportedly looking for a new keeper after both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have failed to convince the Kop that they are capable of holding down the first-choice position. Alisson has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield during recent months.
The Brazilian has managed to establish himself as one of the best keepers in Europe and more impressively, he has managed to nail down the first choice goalkeeping position for the Brazil national team despite facing competition from Manchester City’s Ederson, who is in top form.
Monchi has suggested that his club did not receive any bids for Alisson and said: “Did any offers come in for Alisson? No.
“It’s too early to talk about the next transfer window, it’s not very useful talking today, February 1, about who will stay or go.”
