Leeds reportedly consider making a move for unwanted EPL goalkeeper

The Daily Star have reported that Leeds United could sign Arsenal talented goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez on the last day of the January transfer market.

The 25-year-old shot-stopper has spent the first half of the season on loan with the Spanish side Getafe, but he might return to England after struggling to find his place next to the experienced Spaniard Vicente Guaita.

According to the Spanish newspaper AS, it appears that Azulones would like to ship him back to London six months before the ending of the loan spell.

The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is ready to forward the Argentine keeper to another loan, considering that he has Petr Cech and David Ospina at his disposal.

The Whites could be willing to offer Martinez a chance to prove his worth as Andy Lonergan edging closer towards his move to Sunderland.

Thomas Christiansen is heavily relying on Felix Wiedwald, but Martinez could still fight his place at Elland Road.
