Everton have suffered a transfer blow after Joe Bryan has indicated that he is happy with life at Bristol City.
Bryan is regarded as one of the best defenders in the Championship which has led to speculation that he could he soon set for a move to a Premier League.
As someone who has so far spent his entire career with Bristol, it does however appear that Bryan is happy remaining with Bristol for now and wants to try and help his boyhood club achieve Premier League promotion this season.
Bryan has been linked with the likes of Everton, Tottenham and Newcastle. He could be a good replacement for Leighton Baines at the Toffees and also a good replacement for Danny Rose at Tottenham.
Furthermore he could add quality to Rafa Benitez’s Magpies who are aiming to avoid relegation.
“If you’re playing well, you’re going to get interest,” Bryan told the Bristol Post. “I’m always committed to the club, it’s my hometown club and I’m really looking forward to trying to achieve promotion.”
