The reputable portal Goal.com have broadcasted the news from Scotland about the imminent departure of Celtic midfielder Liam Henderson. The 21-year-old midfielder has joined the Serie B club Bari on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.
The talented midfielder has shown great potential since breaking into the Celtic’ first-team, but after a disappointing first half of the season, he had decided to take his chances away from the Celtic Park.
Bari manager Fabio Grosso has identified Henderson as a player who could help the team make the Serie A promotion this year.
Celtic are looking for reinforcements in the midfield to improve their chances in the Europa League, and Henderson has left out of their plans. The Hooks chief of staff Brendan Rodgers had nothing against Henderson’ passage to the ranks of the Italian club.
Scotland U-21 international is hoping to revive his career in Italy after a mournful last six months in Glasgow.
