Manchester City winger Leory Sane has revealed in a recent interview about his decision to snub working under Jurgen Klopp in favor of Pep Guardiola when he made his decision to move from Schalke.
Leory Sane joined Manchester City last season from Schalke in a move that has worked out excellently for the Citizens.
Sane has been in fine form this season, making the difference from his wide left position for the rampant Manchester City team and the youngster looks set to win his first Premier League winners medal with the Citizens this season.
However, things could have been so different for the 22-year-old as recent revelations from the Germans revealed that there was high chances for him to join Liverpool.
Sane told reporters about the possibility of joining Liverpool while still at Schalke and how the German decided to snub the Reds in favor of City.
“Yes, I was also talking with them,” Sane told The Guardian. “Jurgen was calling me too, talking to me. That was before I joined City.
“He did a good job at [Borussia] Dortmund – I met him when he was there. He’s a good guy, nice guy – honest. He [has] worked well with Liverpool.”
