Sturridge has missed a lot of games during the first half of the season due to injuries. However, even when has been fit, manager Jurgen Klopp has preferred Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Mohammed Salah over him.

The 28-year-old striker will most certainly leave Anfield in January, as he would like to enhance his chances to feature England National Team for the upcoming World Cup.

Inter manager Luciano Spalletti is looking for a quality forward to improve club’s chances in Champions League’ spot battle.

Joao Mario is on the way out from Giuseppe Meazza, and Ivan Perisic and Antonio Candreva have both failed to maintain continuity in their game, so the Italian coach would like to find a reliable partner for Mauro Icardi.

Given that Jurgen Klopp doesn’t count on Sturridge, there is a great possibility that the transfer could go through.
