Leeds target reportedly close to joining another Championship League club

The Express have reported the news from SkyBet about the potential arrival of Ben Woodburn to the ranks of Sunderland in January transfer window. The Liverpool youngster has a lot of admirers, with Leeds United being one of them.

The Welsh international has not received a lot of playing time for Liverpool because of the tremendous competition in the midfield positions and as a result, he has usually played in Carabao Cup, and manager Jurgen Klopp will probably send him on loan to gain some experience.

Woodburn has huge potential as he debuted for the National Team at the age of just 17, and a great career is certainly ahead of him. Leeds currently need a creative midfielder, but it’s questionable whether the youngster can handle the challenges of the Championship.

Manager Thomas Christiansen is desperately trying to strengthen the team before the second part of the season, and many names are in circulation.

The 18-year-old will probably leave on loan in January and it will be interesting see if Leeds would be able to bring him to Elland Road amid competition from Sunderland.
