According to reports, AC Milan remain interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele whose contract with the North London club is set to expire in June 2019.
Milan technical director Massimiliano Mirabelli is keen to strengthen the clubs midfield options but is also aware of long-term planning which is why he is prepared to hold out and potentially attempt to sign Dembele when his contract expires.
Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso is aware that his side lacks dynamism in the midfield and it it very clear that they are in need of a player who can control possession.
Dembele is a player who can do such a job.
Milan are considering the possibility of bringing him to the club this month but will not bring in players to their squad for the sake of bringing in new recruits.
Despite having spent heavily during the summer, Milan have been poor this season and are currently languishing in 11th position on the La Liga standings.
