Everton to battle giants for the signing of experienced defender

According to reports, Arsenal, Manchester City and Everton are all interested in signing West Brom star Jonny Evans.

Evans is regarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League and Arsenal and City were linked with him during the summer and are expected to return with interest this month.

Pep Guardiola’s side could step up their interest in Evans after Virgil Van Dijk opted to join Liverpool.

West Brom are struggling for survival this season and they could sell Evans in order to raise funds to bring in new players to bolster their side for the remaining games of the season.

The Baggies have set a record this season for most games without a victory, 20, having last won when they played against Burnley on 19 August.

Everton boss Sam Allardyce is also reportedly interested in Evans as he looks to bolster his defence for the second half of the season.
