According to a report by Football Insider, Everton defender Gethin Jones is currently in advanced talks to sign for League One club Fleetwood Town this month.
The 22-year old has now accepted that his chances of breaking into the Toffees first team are slim and he is eyeing a fresh challenge.
Jones is a product of the Everton youth development system and has been a regular for the clubs under-23 side.
However he has struggled to break into the first team with his only minute of first team action coming in 2014 during a Europa League clash against Krasnodar.
At this stage of his career, a move away from Everton is possibly the best move that Jones can make for the sake of his career.
His chances of first team action are very slim considering that he is below the likes of Mason Holgate, Jonjoe Kenny and Seamus Coleman in the clubs hierarchy.
