West Ham still reportedly keen on signing international midfielder

West Ham are still hoping to sign Joe Allen from Stoke City this month. The 27-year old has been linked with a move to the Hammers during recent weeks.

The Potters will be reluctant to part ways with Allen or any of the key players this month as they are facing the threat of relegation.

This has however not stopped West Ham from being interested. David Moyes is looking to bolster his midfield in particular this month as he looks to steer his club clear of the relegation zone.

Other players who he is reportedly interested in recruiting include Steven Nzonzi, William Carvalho and Jonjo Shelvey.

The Hammers are reportedly willing to pay up to £15 million for Allen. Allen started his career with Swansea before transferring to Liverpool in 2012 where he spent four years.

He joined Stoke ahead of the 2016-17 season and has so far made 60 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring nine goals.
