West Ham reportedly plotting ambitious move for Argentine international

According to AS, West Ham are interested in signing Atletico Madrid’s Nicolas Gaitan.

Gaitan has fallen down the pecking order at Atleti this season and is looking to leave the club in January as he looks to ensure that he wins a spot in the Argentina squad for the 2018 World Cup.

At 29-years of age, he has plenty of experience under his belt and could be a valuable addition to the Hammers side who will be hoping to bring in new recruits in order to boost their chances of avoiding relegation.

West Ham could however face a battle in the race to sign the player with the likes of Southampton, Everton and Crystal Palace also said to be interested.

It remains to be seen what will happen. Gaitan will surely be wanting to test himself in the Premier League and in the end it will come down to which club he fancies the most.
