As The Yorkshire Post reports, Leeds United have identified Bolton Wanderers’ midfielder Josh Vela as a potential January signing. The player is also being monitored by Sheffield Wednesday for quite some time now.
The English footballer is a very important first team member for Bolton and he has made 14 starts this season, scoring 1 goal in the process.
He is the product of Bolton’s youth academy and has been a regular starter for the Trotters for a couple of seasons. Vela is a versatile player, capable of playing in the centre of the park as well as a defender and due to these reasons, Bolton do not want to give up on him easily.
Leeds are looking for a high quality midfielder to add some strength and physique to their game, and Vela perfectly fits into this profile and it will be interesting to see if the Whites are able to tempt their fellow Championship side into selling.
What will be the final destination of Josh Vela is still not certain, but we are expecting an interesting battle for his signature during the January transfer window.
