Sportswear giants Nike have seemingly confirmed that Philippe Coutinho is closing in on a move from Liverpool to Barcelona.
Barcelona failed with three bids to lure the 25-year old during the summer transfer window and they are expected to reignite their interest during the January transfer window.
There has been no agreement reached between the two clubs as yet, at least officially but Nike have seemingly confirmed that a move is destined to take place through a blunder on its website.
An image advertising custom Coutinho shirts was advertised on the website with the words: “Where the magic happens”, before quickly being removed.
A caption accompanying the image read, “Philippe Coutinho is ready to light up Camp Nou. Get your 2017-18 FC Barcelona kit with the Magician’s name on it. Act fast – free personalisation only available until January 6.”
It now looks increasingly likely that Coutinho will be a Barcelona player by January.
