Stan Collymore has warned that Tottenham must focus on securing themselves a top four finish this season and also added that they could potentially face the risk of losing star players such as Harry Kane and Dele Alli.
“Always a concern that after 24 super months to stay at the level they gave was always going to be rough. Just cross that line for 4th and hope that big boys don’t start chipping away at Kane and Alli post World Cup,” Collymore wrote on his personal Twitter account.
The North London club are currently going through an underwhelming run of form and played out to a 1-1 draw against Watford on Saturday.
They already appear to be out of the title reckoning and may face a battle just to secure a top four finish judging by the way that they are currently playing.
Collymore encouraged Spurs to try and improve their situation while adding that they should focus on securing the futures of Kane and Alli.
