West Ham manager David Moyes has revealed that he had a conversation with new Everton boss Sam Allardyce after his side went down against the Toffees in a League encounter on Wednesday night.

Allardyce watched the game from the stands as Everton went on to win the contest 4 -0 thanks to a hat-trick from Wayne Rooney.

The veteran manager Allardyce will lead the Toffees for the first time this weekend when they face off against Huddersfield.

Moyes knows Everton well having successfully led the club between 2002 and 2013 before leaving to manage Manchester United.

Moyes has now already informed Allardyce about how great the club is and said, “I saw Sam Allardyce for 10 minutes in the office after the game on Wednesday.

“I told him he was going to a good club and I think it suits Sam. The Everton job was one of only a few which would have tempted him back. He can live at home in the North-East and I am sure that also played a part in his decision.”
