Fans of Leeds United have reason to worry after Stuart Dallas suffered an injury while on international duty for the Northern Ireland national team during their 1-0 defeat against Switzerland on Thursday.
Dallas was forced off the game during the early moments of the second half after he was running at full speed down the flank and ended up being taken out by Swiss defender Fabian Schar.
Northern Ireland boss Martin O’Neill is one who is of the belief that Schar should have been sent off following the incident and not just received a yellow card.
“The tackle by Schar was a borderline red card, the referee certainly didn’t do us any favours tonight,” said O’Neill, as per the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Though Dallas has not been a first team regular for the Whites this season, his absence could reduce the options which Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen has at his disposal.
