David O’Leary invited back to Leeds United

According to a report published by The Times, Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has invited David O’Leary to attend a game at Elland Road.

O’Leary is regarded as one of the greatest Whites managers in history and led the club between the period of 1998-2002.

During his time at the club, O’ Leary guided the club to two top five finished as well as a Champions League semi-final. Under O’Leary, the Yorkshire club were a respected team in the Premier League.

However their downfall started in 2004 when they were relegated from the top flight and they have never managed to return since.

“I’m looking forward to taking in a few games,” O’Leary told The Times. “I came away from Leeds after five years so must have done all right.

“I did three-and-a-half years at Villa under Doug Ellis and that was a long three-and-a-half years believe you me. Nobody ever asked me again.”
