This Saturday, November 4, 2017 (6:06 PM Pacific) Pachuca will host Queretaro at the Estadio Hidalgo for a game in the 16th round of matches in the Liga MX Apertura 2017. Both teams have very distinct objectives but need the three points from the game and should produce an interesting match.
Pachuca is currently in 10th place with 18 points and is looking for a late push to make the playoffs after a slow start to the season. Los Tuzos seem to be trending in the right direction undefeated in three consecutive games recently coming off a 2-2 draw against Santos Laguna.
Keisuke Honda scored in that game against Los Guerreros and put in one of his best performances since making his move to Mexico. Pachuca is the clear favorite to win the game and should come away with the three points to benefit its playoff push.
Queretaro has been one of the worst teams in the Liga MX Apertura 2017, currently in 17th place with only 12 points. Los Gallos Blancos do seem to be turning things around under new manager Luis Fernando Tena coming off a 2-2 draw against Atlas at home. The team has shown a bit more effort under the new boss and does have an intriguing team with players like Camilo Sanvezzo and Tiago Volpi.
Queretaro can no longer make the playoffs but is currently in penultimate place on the relegation table and needs points from this match. The game is a complete mismatch on paper but can turn out to be one of the more interesting matches in the Liga MX this weekend.
