Rangers handed massive injury boost with only one player unavailable for selection

Since the start of the season, injuries have been a constant issue for Rangers, with a cohort of talent often stuck on the sidelines.

As a result, manager Pedro Caixinha wasn’t able to select his best men for the all-important Old Firm derby.

However, the Gers are nearing full squad strength, with skipper Lee Wallace the only player that could be missing from training next week.

The club’s official website confirmed that Danny Wilson and Niko Kranjcar have both rejoined the main squad ahead of Friday’s trip to McDiarmid Park to face St Johnstone, while David Bates and Jordan Rossiter are also nearing a return to the full training.

Rangers and the Saints are tied on same points on the SPFL log, and Caixinha knows a tricky test awaits.

The Portuguese hopes the duo of the Bruno Alves and Ross McCrorie will have enough time to recover when they return from international duties midweek.

With almost everyone available for selection ahead of the weekend’s clash, Rangers can be expected to take away all 3 points from the game as they keep pressure on the log leaders.
