According to a report published by The Daily Express, Chelsea have joined Liverpool and Manchester City in the race to sign Napoli star Faouzi Ghoulam.
The Algeria internationals current deal with Napoli is set to expire at the end of the season and has he has yet to renew his current deal, the club will have no choice but to sell in January or they could end up losing him for free at the end of the season.
Liverpool are struggling defensively this season and are viewing Ghoulam as a possible recruit to bolster their side.
City meanwhile view the 26 year old as a possible cover option for Benjamin Mendy, who will be out of action for the rest of the season as a result of his knee injury.
Now the defending Premiership Champions Chelsea have also entered the race. The player will surely be tempted by the opportunity of playing in the Premiership and it will be interesting to see where he eventually ends up.
