Leeds United boss Christiansen makes big admission about his squad

Leeds’ impressive start to the 2017-18 Championship campaign has suddenly hit a snag, with 3 losses in their last 4 games raising serious concerns for a team that had appeared bound to dominate in the league this term.

The 3-nil thrashing at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Sunday saw many question the squad quality and selections of manager Thomas Christiansen.

The likes of England youth international Ronaldo Vieira and French winger Hadi Sacko haven’t started a league game thus far despite playing crucial roles under erstwhile boss Garry Monk.

When asked if there could be changes in his starting XI when league action resumes after the international break with a visit from Reading, the Dane boss told BBC Radio Leeds: “Everyone has the ability to start in the 11. I have 22 players, where I can choose and three goalkeepers. We will see what will happen in the next game.”

While a dip in form was always anticipated, Leeds have to immediately prove their promotion credentials by bouncing back in style in a fortnight time, and a squad shakeup could be key to the team’s renaissance.
