Tottenham defender Ben Davies as joked that the way in which the Lillywhites defeated Everton this weekend will make Davinson Sanchez think that the Premier League is easy.
The North London side coasted to an easy victory following a brace from Harry Kane as well as a further goal from Christian Eriksen. It was the perfect response from Maurico Pochettino’s men after they started the season in less than impressive form.
The match also marked the debut of Sanchez, who provided cover for the injured Kieran Trippier, at right-back.
While talking about Sanchez, who arrived from Dutch outfit Ajax this summer, Davies said that he strikes him as a “proper defender” that will win majority of his duels in the Premier League.
He also joked that the player may think that life is easy in England following the manner of their club’s victory and said, “He must think this league is easy! No, I thought he was great. He’s a proper centre-half, a player who will win headers, win challenges.”
