According to reports, Tottenham were interested in signing Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic this summer.
It is likely that the North London side were eyeing the experienced Handanovic in order to provide competition and cover for Hugo Lloris.
Though Michel Vorm is a quality back-up option, he is likely to leave the club soon as he has failed to usurp Lloris for a number of years and will likely feel tempted to move to a club that can offer him regular first team football.
While Spurs did manage to sign a new keeper in the form of Paulo Gazzaniga, he is expected to be third choice and is not set to challenge for the first choice keeping position anytime soon.
Handanovic has featured 208 times for Inter since joining and it is unlikely that he would have been keen to swap regular first team football for a place on the Spurs bench.
