Former Tottenham player and manager Ossie Ardiles has revealed that he was delighted with the performance of Davinson Sanchez, who was making his debut for Spurs during their 3-0 victory over Everton this weekend.
The Colombian international Sanchez joined the Lilywhites this summer from Dutch club Ajax. Big things are expected from him especially as he is highly rated and helped Ajax reach the final of the Europa League last season.
Sanchez is expected to provide competition to Kieran Trippier for the first choice left back position at the club and he was covering for the English against Everton, who is currently injured.
Whilst discussing what he thinks about Sanchez, Ardiles said, “What a debut from Davinson Sanchez. Not easy to come and play in the Premier League. He looks like he already belong(s) here. Great future. COYS.”
What Spurs needed to bring to their side this summer in order to challenge for major silverware was quality. In Sanchez they certainly have a player who is capable of becoming world class.
