The recent transfer of Chris Wood from Leeds United to Burnley has drawn many reactions from both the Whites’ fans and other people who do not have any connections with the player or the club.
The latest one has now come from Stephen Warnock, former Leeds United player, who is currently at Burton Albion, the upcoming opponent of the Peacocks.
The experienced defender questioned the entire Leeds organization ahead of the upcoming match regarding the current efficiency of the club from Elland Road following the sale of Wood.
“It’s a long season to be without a player like that who scored so many goals last season. Can someone else step up to the plate and do that? That’s the big question that everyone’s going to be asking.” Warnock told BBC Radio Leeds.
The comments might be mind game which the former Liverpool and Derby County member wants to start with his former club and it will be interesting to see how the defender will be received by the Whites faithul.
