Celtic defeated Hamilton 4-1 on Friday, away from home, with a pretty convincing performance.
The Hoops dominated throughout the whole contest, and following the game, manager Brendan Rodgers has expressed his delight .
The Celtic boss has stated that this victory wasvery important for the morale of the team and that his team is ready for the opening game of the Champions League this Tuesday against Paris Saint-Germain.
Rodgers also said that he is extremely pleased with the recent acquisition Odsonne Edouard as the 19-year-old forward scored the fourth goal of the game for the Hoops.
The former Liverpool manager told journalists, “The kid [Edouard] has come in and left Paris in 30 odd degrees and come to Glasgow where it’s been raining all week and trained under floodlights on Thursday morning – at 11 o’clock! He probably wondered what he’s let himself in for. But he was exceptional tonight.”
Odsonne Edouard came from Paris Saint-Germain on one year loan, and if everything goes well, the Scottish champion will have the opportunity to buy the player at the end of the season.
