Sunderland boss admits interest in signing 29-year-old attacker

According to reports, Sunderland manager Simon Grayson has ruled out a permanent deal for West Ham flop Robert Snodgrass and will instead try to sign the Scotland international on a loan deal.

Grayson and Snodgrass enjoy a good relationship having worked well together during their time with Leeds United.

Though Grayson is interested in bringing Snodgrass to the Stadium of Light, he will only be able to do so on a loan deal due to the financial constraints of Sunderland.

He said, “I can you tell you now we won’t be buying Robert Snodgrass because of the fee and the wages that come with it. The only way we would get Robert Snodgrass is a loan deal or something like that.

Sunderland are in need of attacking reinforcements for the new season. Snodgrass will be a good addition to their squad especially considering the amount of experience and quality that he has.

Though the 29-year-old was largely disappointing during his time with the Hammers, he did impress during the first half of last season while on the books of Hull City.
