According to reports, Tottenham are set to launch a £35 million bid for Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez.
Spurs are the only side in the Premier League that have yet to make a new signing this summer and they will now that they do need to make a few reinforcements ahead of the new season.
The 21-year-old Davinson was impressive last season as he won the Ajax Player of the year award and played a big role in helping to lead the club to the final of the Europa League, where they lost to Manchester United in the final.
Spurs have begun contact with the Dutch giants over luring the Colombian international and are confident that they are in pole position for his signature.
The youngster will also be keen to play under Mauricio Pochettino, who has developed a reputation for transforming young talent into superstars. This will be an exciting signing for Spurs if it goes ahead.
