Porto vs Estoril Praia Match Preview

Porto is in a major transitional phase with Sérgio Conceição now at the helm for The Dragons. The Portuguese manager led Ligue 1 side Nantes to a spectacular seventh place finish in the 2016-2017 season and will be looking to achieve glory with Porto this season.

The Portuguese giants lost several key players this off-season like Andre Silva to Milan and Ruben Neves to Championship side, Wolves. The biggest signing for Sérgio Conceição this offseason was the permanent signing of Oliver Torres from Atletico Madrid. The Blue and Whites also had several loan returns that could impact the team featuring players like Hernani, Ricardo Pereira, Diego Reyes and Sergio Oliveira.

The additions of these players with the formidable core the team already has, featuring players like Jesus Corona, Hector Herrera and Miguel Layun should make Porto a force this season. Sporting CP already got off to a good start getting three points from its first game, while Benfica will play after this match.

Estoril is a solid team that finished tenth in the Primeira Liga last season but it should not stand a chance against Porto, especially away from home. The game should still be an interesting encounter and it will be intriguing to see what XI Sérgio Conceição decides to go for and if any of the Mexican internationals feature in it.
