Everton reportedly handed huge blow in their hopes of signing 27-year-old midfielder

The plans of Everton manager Ronald Koeman to boost his midfield ranks have been dealt a blow according to turkish-football.

The publication reveals that Toffees’ target and Osmanlispor midfielder Badou N’Diaye is edging closer to a Galatasaray switch as opposed to an EPL move.

The 27-year-old Senegalese had earlier been identified as a summer transfer target for Everton and West Ham, with the former reportedly in the lead, but he now seems to favour remaining in the Super Lig having found his feet last term.

N’Diaye notched seven goals and three assists for Osmanlispor last season, and his abilities to get involved in goals and moves leading to them put the blue Merseysiders on alert.

Gareth Barry and James McCarthy have been considered surplus to requirements at the Goodison Park, and N’Diaye would have been a perfect acquisition for Koeman’s midfield had a move for him gotten actualized.

However, the most recent development means the Dutch boss will now have to look elsewhere for that additional midfield powerhouse he so desires.
