French Ligue 1 outfit Marseille have completed the signing of Clinton N’Jie from Spurs and have not given up on their hopes of luring Moussa Sissoko from the North London club according to reports.
After spending last season on loan with the French club, N’Jie’s deal is said to have been made permanent for a fee of £6 million though neither side has officially confirmed a deal.
After joining Spurs ahead of the 2015-16 season, N’Jie never managed to make an impression at the club during his first season and was sent on loan to Marseille last term.
Last season, he featured 20 times for the club and scored four goals, which was enough to persuade the Ligue 1 outfit to sign him on a permanent basis.
In regards to Sissoko – considering that he failed to impress during his first season despite being the club’s record signing, Spurs may look to offload the French international.
The player may also be keen on a transfer as he will need to play regularly if he is to make the France squad for the 2018 World Cup.
