Aston Villa midfielder Conor Hourihane has said that the arrival of John Terry will benefit his club ahead of next season.
After leaving Chelsea at the end of last season following a successful 22 years at the club, Terry opted to link up with the Villains ahead of next season on a one year deal.
According to reports, he opted to join the Championship club as it would also reduce the chances of him having to play against Chelsea.
The 26-year-old Hourihane said of the influence Terry will have on the club, “JT coming in, you couldn’t get any better for this level.
“It will give everyone a boost. That certainly looked like that was the case out in our training camp in Portugal.”
Terry is widely regarded as one of the best defenders and leaders of the past generation and though he is at the latter stages of his career, he still has what it takes to compete at the highest level.
