According to reports, Manchester United will now turn their focus on signing Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan due to Tottenham’s unwillingness to part ways with Eric Dier.
For Spurs fans, this will certainly come as good news especially as they will be wanting Dier to play a big role for the club next season as they aim to end their trophy drought of nine years.
The 29-year-old Nainggolan is known for being powerful in midfield and was previously a target of Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, who had looked to recruit him last summer.
It is believed that Conte may still consider a swoop for the Belgian international this summer as he looks to bolster his midfield options ahead of next season.
Despite Nainggolan insisting that he will remain at Roma next term, the club’s new sporting director Monchi may consider a sale in order to fund the rebuilding of the squad.
